Kindly sent by Minnie Shuler: There is another library in Bristol. A Family History Center which is a branch of the Genealogical Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. The FHC is located at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is open to the public by appointment and on Wednesday evenings from 4-8. The FHC can order microfilm and microfisch from the Library in Utah. The Card Catalog is on line at www.familysearch.org.The Catalog gives the film or fische numbers. There is a fee for ordering the films and fische which covers postage from and to the FHC in Utah. Any book of the library in Salt Lake that is available on film or fische is available in Bristol through their interlibrary loan program. There is also a collection of books at the FHC in Bristol and disks. The books are mainly those printed in this area about local families or local history. The phone number of the FHC is 643-9898, it is located directly across the road from the office of the High School; about a block off of HWY 20. I will be glad to answer any questions about the FHC that anyone may have. Minnie Shuler m.shuler@att.net
