Mrs Leonia N Peel, age 76, of Chipley, passed away at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama on Feb 3, 1999.  She had been a resident of Chipley all of her life.  She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church and Assembly of God faith.

	Funeral service was held on Feb 6 at New Life Fellowship Church with the Rev Clinton Howell, the Rev C E Hodges and the Rev David Williford officiating.  Burial followed in the Glenwood Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.

	Survivors include her husband: Charles Brown Peel of Chipley; daughter and son-in-law: Barbara Ann and Milton Strickland of Chipley; brothers: Edward T Nichols of Cross City, Florida and A J Nichols of Luvern, Alabama; sisters: Mavis Smith of Hinson Cross Roads, Hazel Raley of Cottondale, Rubye Forehand of Chipley, Carrie Retherford of Dothan, Alabama and Ethel Daniel of Chipley; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
