Mrs Peggy Bailey Nettles, age 62 of Graceville, died Monday, Feb 1, 1999 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama following a brief illness.  She was born in Gordo, Alabama on Jan 25, 1937 and had lived in Graceville for the past 30 years.  She was a graduate of Gordo High School, Class of 1955 and Livingston University, Class of 1960.  She was a schoolteacher at Graceville High School where she taught 7th grade Science and High School Art.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and she was Chairman of the Worship Committee.

	Funeral services were held Feb 3 at the First United Methodist Church of Graceville with the Rev Cecil Jackson officiating.  Burial followed in Marvin Chapel cemetery with James and Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville directing.

	She was preceded in death by her father: Doyle F Bailey.

	Survivors include her husband: Jerre M Nettles of Graceville; mother Lorene Bailey of Gordo, Alabama; son and daughter-in-law: Timothy Doyle and Stephanie Loper Nettles of Birmingham, Alabama; daughter and son-in-law: Patte Nettles and Charles Woodrow Hatcher of Graceville; brother and sister-in-law: Larry C and Noreen Bailey of Gordo, Alabama; granddaughters: Shannan Alicia Hatcher and India Lorene Hatcher, both of Graceville.
