Your Holmes County, Florida Coordinator is....

Welcome to the Holmes County Usgenweb site. My name is Ann Marlow Hall. I am proud to be the new host of this Holmes County Fla. GenWeb site. I have a personal interest in this county, as it is the county of my birth, and many of my family and cousins still resides here. They are Marlow, Dykes, Tews, Boswell, Anderson and many more. I have only recently developed a love of genealogy and been bitten by the bug. I have found that there is no cure, and the condition worsens daily. I inherited this condition from my mother Bernice Dykes Toole who has suffered with it for many years. Thank you mother for all your love and help.

My goal for this county is to provide other researchers like you, with information that will  expand their trees and break down some brick walls. We hope you enjoy your visit with us today, and please come back often as this site will be continually striving to add more information on a regular basis. I am also fairly new to the internet and this is my first attempt to host a county.  Please bear with me as I am still "learning". I want to say a special thank you to my Co-Host Melinda Heath, without who's help, this page as it is, would not be here today.

Your Holmes County, Florida Co-Coordinator is....

My name is Cathy Strickland Popp. I have volunteered to help Ann as the  Holmes County co-coordinator.  I have deep roots in Holmes County on both sides of my family.  My mother was a Cooey (this side of my family can be traced from the first Walton-Holmes County Census in 1830 to the present day Census) and my father was a Strickland (this side of my family can be traced back to the early 1900's in Holmes County).  I have recently developed a deep love for genealogical research (thanks to one of my sisters) and I am going to strive to post information that everyone will find extremely helpful.  I hope you will bear with me while I try to learn my way around this web site.
