MRS W M COOEY, FORMER WESTVILLE RESIDENT, PASSES: Mrs W M Cooey, age 53, of Panama City, formerly of Westville, died suddenly at home in Panama City Sunday morning. Mrs Cooey was found dead in bed. Although her health had been as good as usual, she had been troubled with a weak heart for many years. Burial was at the Camp Ground cemetery by the side of her late husband, W M Cooey, Monday afternoon, Rev A C Lee, pastor of Bonifay Methodist Church, conducting the services with arrangements in charge of Wilson Funeral Home of Panama City. Deceased is survived by three daughters and five sons. The daughters are Mrs Lottie Stripling, Pensacola; Miss Jewel and Miss Shirley, at home; sons, Bill, Alex, Emmett, Colon and Murdock, at home; also, one step-son Walker Cooey of Westville, and two step-daughters, Mrs Loyce Staton, of Century, and Miss Julia Lee Cooey, of Pensacola. There also survive three brothers and three sisters, W M Jones of Westville; Brad Jones, of Panama City; Lum Jones, Atlanta, Ga; Mrs Nance Vance, Columbus, Ga; Mrs Dora Rushing, Ponce de Leon, Mrs Annice Majors, Caryville; one step-brother Howard Jones of Atlanta, Ga; and a half-brother, Roy Jones of Enterprise, Ala.
