Mrs Ruby Lee Byrd, of Lynn Haven, passed away Saturday, Jan 30, 1999 at a local nursing home.  She had been a lifelong resident of Bay County, worked for the Bay County School Board and was a member of the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church.

	Funeral service was Feb 2 at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Douglas Pennington officiating with internment following in the Lynn Haven Cemetery.

	Survivors include daughter: Jackie Hopson and her husband Jack of Panama City; sons: Jerry W Byrd and his wife Phyllis of Campwood, Texas and Grant Byrd and his wife Tammie of Bonifay; sisters: Gertrude Bunch of Panama City, Mary Faile of St Petersburg, Florida and Mrs Vida Chiarlonza of Essington, Pennsylvania; brother: Quincy Creamer of Sanford, Florida, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
