Dr R A Thompson Sleeps In Peace: After a lingering illness of several weeks, Dr R A Thompson quietly and peacefully passed away to his reward Thursday morning just as the sun was peeping over the eastern horizon. The doctor has been in feeble health for a number of weeks and had suffered intense pain from internal troubles which had baffled the highest order of medical science, and despite the most affectionate nursing and attention by his devoted family, nothing could be done to alleviate his sufferings. Dr Thompson was loved and highly respected by all who knew him, and in his death Bonifay has lost a good citizen, his wife a devoted husband and his children an affectionate father. He was known far and wide as a Physician of great ability and one who was well versed in medical science, and his valuable services will be greatly missed by suffering humanity. The remains were interred in the city cemetery yesterday morning, the funeral services being in charge of the local camp of W. O. W., of which the deceased was a faithful member. The flower tribute was beautiful and attested the love and esteem of our people. Published in the Holmes County Advertiser, Bonifay FL, Saturday, May 16, 1908
