Death of Mrs. Mal Pate.
   The news of the death of Mrs. Malcolm Pate, which occurred last Friday 
 morning about five o'clock, at her home one mile north of town, caused much 
 sorrow among her many friends in this community.  Mrs. Pate gave birth to a 
 fine baby girl about a week before her death and although all was done for 
 her that could be done by loved ones and medical aid, complications of a 
 serious nature set in which could not be checked and death followed. 20
  Mrs. Pate was a young and very pretty woman, and her death is a sad one.  
 The deceased was about 27 years old, and was before her marriage Miss 
 Burke, of Sneads.
   The remains accompanied by the grief-stricken husband and a number of his 
 brothers, were transported to Sneads were the interment was made Saturday.
