Mrs Florence Marie Salter Nelson, age 75 of Chipley passed away Feb 3, 1999 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama.  She was a native of Milton, moving to Chipley 57 years ago.  She was of the Protestant faith.

	Funeral services were held on Feb 5 at the Wachob Chapel with the Rev Adolph Phares officiating.  Burial followed in New Orange Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home directing.

	Survivors include her husband: Donald Nelson of Chipley; sons: Donald Nelson of Chipley and J Wes Nelson and family of Huntsville, Alabama; daughters: Mary Gano and Kathleen Downs and family, all of Chipley; sister: Virginia Downs of Huntsville, Alabama; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
