Ardis James Hightower, age 77, of Bonifay, passed away Monday, Jan 4, 1999 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley.

	Funeral services were held Jan 6 at New Hope Methodist Church with the Rev Ike Steverson officiating.  Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home directing.

	Survivors include his wife: Mary Hightower of Bonifay; daughter: Caolyn Crutchfield of Marianna; sons: Ardis James Hightower, Jr., Hayward Hightower and Howard Hightower, all of Bonifay; brothers Carl Hightower and Earl Hightower, both of Tallahassee; sister: Margaret Carter of Graceville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
