Ms Virginia Ann Chitty Bruner, age 56 of Panama City, died Monday, Feb 15, 1999 at her home. She had been a resident of the area since 1963, coming to Panama City from Bonifay. She was Assembly of God by faith. Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb 18 at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Don Shoots and the Rev Stephen Pettijohn officiating. Burial followed at the Bonifay Cemetery in Bonifay with Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home directing. Asked to serve as pallbearers were Chris Chitty, James Jackson, John Mark Willoughby, John Gibbs, Larry Grainger, Doug Horton, Home Derrick Chitty, and Jonathan Willoughby. Survivors include a daughter Amanda Powell and her husband of Panama City; a son Steven Bruner of Panama City; her mother Cora Dee Chitty of Bonifay; sisters June Henderson and her husband Charles of Panama City and Annette Wimberly and her husband Johnny of Kissimmee; brothers Derrell Chitty and his wife Margaret of Port St Joe; Larry Chitty and his wife Bonnie of Hartford, Alabama; and Paul Chitty and his wife Janice of Mobile, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
