The Death of A Noble Woman: A death that has saddened the hearts of all her acquaintances, and they are legion, was the untimely decease of Mrs H J Brett, of Clarkson. Wednesday night at 9 o'clock. Mrs Brett had been seriously ill for several weeks, and medical aid of the highest order. Coupled with kind and affectionate nursing, was used in the most attentive manner, and at times great hopes were fondly cherished for her permanent records; but alas, God in His infinite wisdom saw fit to remove this pure and noble woman from this world of grief and sorrow. Left to mourn her sad demise is a heart-broken husband, three dear little babes, a father, two sisters and a host of warm friends. Whose sympathy for the bereaved as deep and sincere. The remains were transported to this city yesterday for burial, and a large concourse of grief-stricken friends gathered at the cemetery to pay the last sad respects to all that was mortal of this good woman. The funeral solemnities were conducted by Rev R C Williams, pastor of the Methodist church, this city. Mrs A Sessoms sang, "Abide With Me" in a most impressive manner. The floral tribute was beautiful and in charge of the high school faculty. Published in the Holmes County Advertiser, Bonifay FL, Saturday, March 14, 1908
